Rose Park Picture Show: Napoleon Dynamite
Event Description
Rose Park Picture Show is a free outdoor movie series at Rose Park, presented by the Columbia Convention & Visitors Bureau. Made for warm nights, familiar favorites, and the kind of summer memories that feel a little cinematic, each event brings people together for a beloved film, an open-air setting, and an easy social atmosphere with food and drinks available. Bring a blanket, come early, and settle in as the sun goes down and the park turns into the perfect backdrop for a movie at dusk. Doors open at 7 PM, admission is free, and all ages are welcome.
Napoleon Dynamite Bio
In small-town Preston, Idaho, awkward teen Napoleon Dynamite has trouble fitting in. After his grandmother is injured in an accident, his life is made even worse when his strangely nostalgic uncle, Rico, shows up to keep an eye on him. With no safe haven at home or at school, Napoleon befriends the new kid, Pedro, a morose Hispanic boy who speaks little English. Together the two launch a campaign to run for class president.
Outside chairs/blankets are allowed in the park for this show.
